Founded as The Badger State Printery in 1910, The Printery is one of the longest-lived printers in the Midwest. From humble beginnings and a tradition of delivering high-caliber craftsmanship and business integrity, it grew: first by serving the needs of banks and insurance companies of downtown Milwaukee, then through acquisitions to expand its capabilities into a regional market, and eventually by transforming itself into an end-to-end print production company that works in tandem with clients throughout North America.
On January 31, 2014, The Printery's parent company of Consolidated Graphics was purchased by RR Donnelley, which created the world's largest print company. The Printery will continue its tradition of excellence as we combine the strengths of both organizations. Our expanded resources will deliver increased value to our customers and position us to address our customers’ unique market needs. We now offer an even broader range of capabilities, an expanded geographic footprint, and we are exceptionally well positioned to provide specialized solutions and innovations that only an organization of our size and scope can offer.
